Remember the F1 live timing application on the iPhone? Well, it has been the number 1 selling sports application in 10 countries. I talked about it here recently and last year. Soft Pauer Ltd has launched its official Formula One Timing and Track Positioning Application for iPhone and iPod touch users. The unique application allows fans to simultaneously track the progress of all cars in real time on a dynamic track map which offers a variety of views of the circuit, including the unique ability to see a bird's eye view of the action. The data is taken directly from the official timing feeds generated at each circuit, giving the user unprecedented portable access to the information used by race engineers in the pit lane, with the added ability to track the individual driver of your choice. The BMW Sauber team has concluded an interesting deal with the software company Artificial Life to deliver a BMW Sauber F1 Team racing game to users of the Apple iPhone and Apple iPod Touch devices. These will feature the new BMW Sauber F1.09 portrayed in high resolution 3D graphics which can be driven by the user against virtual teams at various race tracks based on the F1 circuits.
